Introducing Contestant #2 of the Young Event Horse Challenge

Meet contestant #2!

Sloane Simon hails from Lexington KY. Sloane began eventing with Team CEO in 2010. She has successfully evented through the Novice level on Sur Les Tas last summer. This winter, she purchased CEO sales grad Probable Cause, a lovely oldenburg who evented through the CCI* level with our working student, Chelsea Brant. They’ll be debuting in may together.    She returns to us for her second consecutive summer as a working student!

Sloane has drawn Night Light, aka Mo. Mo is a bright bay Trakehner/TB cross with a big star by our stallion Nightfall (trakehner by the olympic event horse Windfall, out of Intermediate level event horse Hail to the Chief). This was the first time we crossed Nightfall to Kate, a neat TB broodmare here in our broodmare band. Let’s just say we loved this cross SO much that we’ve never bred Kate to anyone else since then! Mo is an absolute sweetheart, a class act with a great brain and great look. He was Megan’s special pet from the first year’s crop!

Stay tuned tomorrow to meet contestant #3 of 6 of our challenge!  Then it’s time for the games to begin!
