CEO Girls vs. Old Man Winter

Today, we took on old man winter.     Six girls, armed with shovels, rakes, and whatever we could find, a little salt, a chain harrow, and a big determination to ride.   The challenger:   Old Man Winter, despite living south of the Mason Dixon Line, receiving a third major snowstorm in three weeks, with 6″ of snow but drifts up to 24″.    The results:

The girls at Team CEO definitely won!!!     And besides, this will teach you to ride a REALLY accurate circle!!!  🙂    If we didn’t, the horses would be knee deep in snow!

LOL, only a group of eventers!!!!

Warm wishes!

Whoo hoo — what a bunch of cool chicks (get it, “cool”?)

It’s cold here in LA also – all the way down to 50 degrees. Brrr.

50 degrees in LA, huh… Hope you packed your long johns!

I’m impressed with that arena shovel job. I didn’t even bother to shovel out my gate this time. After nearly giving myself a heart attack last time, I decided it’s OK to drive on top of snow.

So Snowbird is cancelled, Megan is going to Aiken and I am hunting for things to do. Has anybody subscribed to FEItv? Is it worth $80/year. The free videos are all short little things, but I can’t tell if you pay do you get full length stuff? Out here on the farm I have no TV (too cheap to pay for cable or satellite and too far from any stations to pick up with rabbit ears), so horse videos on the computer would fill something of a void. Any experience with FEItv out there?
