Congratulations to Roofie, Sprite, and Coral!! Each have successfully had their own little bundles of joy in the last few days…
Roofie, one of my all time favorite mares to ride, had a gorgeous dark bay colt with one hind sock and a big snip during the clinic on Saturday morning at 12:34am. The delivery was impeccable–this guy is strong! The entire delivery was finished in 30 minutes, including foal standing and nursing and afterbirth…. The marker for a successful delivery is if all of that happens within three hours! By 2:30, he was cantering laps around his stall! This is Ryan’s FIRST BORN!!!! He is gorgeous… What to name him? It has to have the word “Night” in it.

Night Stand is a pretty cute name, but I am sure it is only a matter of time (and of course after he WINS 1st at all his horse trials) before he becomes 1 Night Stand.
Pretty funny — Megan has informed me that the girls are already using “R.J.” for his barn name. I.e., “Ryan Junior.”
How ’bout Nighttime or Night Time (“the period between dusk and dawn” – as in 12:34am!!). Or Nightcap or Night Club? I Remember a Night Deer? Night Watchman?
Okay, we have it narrowed down to the following!!! Now we just need to pick one!!! This little guy needs a name! Any thoughts?
