We are thrilled to introduce Cameo, our new broodmare. She is a 6yo TB mare by Grindstone. She is big, gorgeous, and dappled gray. Cameo has a two week old foal at her side, named Cameron, and he is FABULOUS! (And as you can see, fairly camera shy!!!) Cameron is by the TB sire Tequesta. Hopefully Cameo will be introduced to Ryan later this spring…. 🙂

Whoo hoo!! Ryan has a date.
And Cameron is adorable. He’ll be hopeless as a horse, tho, after all the girls love on him all summer! Maybe a career as a lap dog is in his future.
Oh how exciting!!! I can’t wait to meet all these new guys!
And what an awful picture I took of Cameron!!! He was sooo camera shy… He’s a precocious little guy, and everytime I went to take a pic (via camera phone, not a real camera) he would trot off in time for the camera to take a shot of his tail! I thought I had it on this one, as he was posed nicely for a conformation shot, but by the time my phone took the pic, he was attempting to munch down on hay!
Even funnier, he *thinks* he can eat hay, but actually he is only a couple of days old, so he doesn’t really have teeth yet. Thus, he watches mom eat hay, and responds by gumming the hay, then spitting it back out… lol!!!!!
That might just be the cutest mental image I have had in a long time…
