Sprite’s Foal! June 2, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — widespreadpanic @ 3:30 am

spritefoal1We’re so excited to announce the newest member of Team CEO!   Sprite had her foal in the morning of June 1, 2009.  The filly is bright bay with a huge star (just like Chaos!) and one left hind sock.  Other than the sock, her markings are identical to Chaos.  She is really cute and friendly and adoreable!

Boarders/students feel free to stop by the lower barn and take a peek!  Try to be quiet in the lower barn, as we’re trying to keep things calm and quiet for a few days, but feel free to take a peek in through the bars.  She’s adoreable!  She has a broken rib from delivery (she’s a big baby!) so we’ll keep things quiet for a few days, but other than that she looks great.

Photos are posted of her on Snapfish.  But now we need a name!   She’ll need a name that starts with a D or an F.  She is a bay filly out of Sprite by the black Hanoverian dressage horse Fabuleaux.  Any suggestions? Any suggestions for a barn name?

Wonderful!!! Two on the ground is never a bad thing…

As for names, how about Fizz? And for show names something like Fizzing Over, DIamond Fizz (a drink with gin, sparkling wine, lemon juice, and sugar), Flirtini…

I can’t wait to meet her!!! Congrats Megan!!

  3. Haha, I’m not sure if you’re all just individually brilliant or if you were in cohorts on a name yesterday!!! Becca, you’re absolutely right… Fizz is a great barn name! The girls decided last night that Fizz would be her barn name… LOL! So good suggestion! :)

The show name will have to start with a F….. I like Flirtini!

    Other suggestions?

Fizz…. Love it… so here are some feminine champagne related names starting with D or F :

Demi-Sec (refers to semi sweet champagne)
      Franciacorta (an Italian sparkling wine)
Drappier, De Castellane, De Meric, De Telmont, Delamotte, Deutz (brands of champagne)
      Fermented, De’gorgement (champagne vocabulary)

“And next on course, Megan Lanzarone on Fermented, daughter of Fabuleaux….”

Champagne related: French Champagne, Fort Chateau, Flemish Champagne.

Formula 1 (racing circuit with several Champagn sponsors).

French phrases I like: Faux Pas, Fait Accompli, Fleu de lis, Force Majeure.

And my #1 favorite: Femme Fatale

  6. I once had a mare named Debutante…..It’s in the Femme Fatale family.
    Or:
    Fortunate
    Fabulous
    Dance till Dawn

I’ll come up with more later.
